Blame Sally - Speeding Ticket & A Valentine

San Francisco bay-area all-female band who have been touring extensively for a number of years now. This is their third Ninth Street Opus album and by far their best yet, combining a tough, rootsy sound with mature, accomplished songwriting. Blame Sally's history runs somewhat contrary to conventional wisdom - all four members put their individual careers aside in their late 30s and 40s to form the band - the age at which girl groups are supposed to break up; and they split their frontperson status which gives their music a variety and constant interest that makes them so dynamic live. Blame Sally are something of secret here at the moment, but not for long.
