National Youth Jazz Orchestra - Out of Hamelin & The Pied Piper of Hamelin

Out of Hamelin was commissioned by the BBC for NYJO'S 2000 Prom concert. The work mixes enchantment with real excitement, driven by lyricism and pungent rhythms of Irish folk music. This DVD comprises Paul Hart's Out Of Hamelin suite recorded live at The Royal Albert Hall together with a reading of Robert Browning's poem The Pied Piper of Hamelin by Helen Ashton, to the music of NYJO.
