Martin Taylor, MBE has been famously dubbed the finest British jazz guitarist of his generation by The Times and continues to dazzle audiences around the world with his virtuoso live performances. Recorded at The Doghouse in Nashville, Tennessee, with producer Steve Buckingham (producer of the previous releases 'Kiss And Tell' and 'Nightlife'), Solo features Martin at his astonishing best on fourteen tracks played, as the title suggests, completelysolo. What I do on the guitar is unique - I can bring one note out, make another one quieter, make other notes soundedgier, drawing out different textures from different strings so it sounds like there are two guitars playing.
