The first bandleader to front a successful Latin orchestra in the United States, and was largely responsible for popularising Latin music for North American audiences was Xavier Cugat, His music stands testament to an artist who was never afraid to pursue commercial success, and helped to bring Latin music and the Rumba into mainstream popularity. Cugat attracted many famous vocalists to record with his band and we include the likes of Crosby and Sinatra here.
