Melvin Goins - I Wouldn't Miss It

Bluegrass veteran Melvin Goins has the respect of fans and fellow performers. He was awarded the 2001 Appalachian Treasure Award and serves on the board of the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music. In February 2004 a section of US 23, the Country Music Highway, was named in his honour. As an important member of the legendary Stanley Brothers band and the Goins Brothers, Melvin is an integral part of Bluegrass history.
