Broadcaster - England: The Remixes

The seminal track from Broadcaster�s remarkable debut album, 'Primary Transmission', remixed by one of Berlin�s coolest DJ remixers and one of the UK�s up and coming names.�England� is a former Radio 1 record of the week. Here it�s been given the remix treatment by two prominent DJs, including one of Berlin�s best known remixers. Oliver $ has worked on tracks by artists such as Hijack, Jjak Hogan, Filthy Dukes, SWAG and Armand Van Helden. Here he gives the folk/acoustic Broadcaster track a House/Dub make-over, which brings even more suprises to a track that was already full of them.�England� takes samples from the original Radio Ballads Series by Ewan MacColl, Charles Parker and Peggy Seeger, and sets them to beats. When they were originally recorded in the 1960s, House/Dub was still a very long way off. That gap has now closed, with unexpected yet very exciting results. Tracks; 1.
