Ezra Furman & The Harpoons - Mysterious Power

Red Parlor Records announces the release of Ezra Furman & The Harpoons third album,' Mysterious Power' and their first in the UK on May 30th. Following several performances at SXSW, the band kicks-off a twenty three city, U.S. headlining tour On May 18th they head off to Europe for performances in Vienna, Berlin and then finish up with several shows in London.Furman & The Harpoons previous work including 'Banging Down the Doors' (2007) and 'Inside The Human Body' garnered wide-spread critical acclaim in the US and set the stage for performances at Lollapolooza (2009) and a tour supporting Delta Spirit (2010). The band has toured several times in Europe where they have a strong fan base boosted by a number of high-profile performances including the prestigious Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona. A video for Furman's song 'Take Off Your Sunglasse's became an MTV2 Under-The-Radar hit. Ezra Furman & The Harpoons performed in London in February, 2010 when BBC1 DJ, Huw Stephens, featured the band on the air and sponsored a sold-out showcase at The Social. They will be back performing on June 1st, opening for Art Brut at The Lexington, and then on June 2nd at The Windmill in Brixton. A second longer run of UK tour dates is planned for later this year.
