Stan Tracey & Keith Tippett - Supernova

This recording of a live concert at the ICA in London in 1977 is at last being released on Resteamed, the veteran jazz pianist Stan Tracey's own label. It features a live duo concert by two of the most distinguished pianists on the British jazz scene, Stan Tracey himself and, from another generation, the acclaimed improvisor, Keith Tippett.

Tracey had teamed up with Tippett in 1974 for a series of dates as duo, that was known as 'TNT'. They released one album under that name on Emanem Records, which was later reissued on Steam Records and, briefly, on Blue Note International. 'Supernova' presents another opportunity to experience the spontaneous creativity of two jazz greats.
