Adrian Rollini - 1937-1938

As promised, the second CD devoted to the work of brilliant multi-instrumentalist Adrian Rollini takes the story on to 1938 and his last recordings as a bandleader (there were a few trio sides during the next year or so). Featured musicians include trumpeters Jonah Jones and Bobby Hackett and there is some previously unissued material here. Hackett's solo on take 1 of Small Fry is a real gem and worth the price of the CD on its own. Not to be missed, Adrian Rollini featuring Bobby Hackett, Jonah Jones and Buddy Rich.
