Various Artists - The Roots Of The Great American Songbook Series 40's & 50's

Twenty tracks recorded in the 1940' and 1950s which were part of the inspiration for Rod Stewart's fabulously successful 'The Great American Songbook' series. Originals from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and t Patti Page show the original magic which Stewart re-created. The collection was compiled by Dave Henderson (Mojo) who also provides the sleevenotes.
