Gregory Tardy - Hope

Gregory Tardy's seventh release on SteepleChase, 'Hope' delivers a strong musical and spiritual message to us all. His quartet is made up of two rising jazz stars - pianist Helen Sung and drummer Jaimeo Brown, alongside bassist Sean Conly.

Since his comeback from a three year sabbatical from the music scene Tardy has firmly resumed his place as one of the most important saxophonists of his generation (Matthew Miller, All About Jazz). On 'Hope' Tardy and his quartet perform a mixture of original compositions, traditional songs and hymns and covers of songs by Joe Henderson, Bob Haymes and others.
