Steve LaSpina - A Change in the Weather

Bassist Steve LaSpina has been contributing his phenomenal musicianship both as performer and composer to SteepleChase since the late 90s. Since his debut album 'New Horizon' (SCCD31313) SteepleChase has been LaSpina's main outlet for his marvellous compositions.

This is his 12th leader album, which explores some of his old tunes as well as new works, giving us a rare opportunity of experiencing how original compositions in jazz develop after decades of live performance on stage.

(When I'm Alone) is a thoughtful and invigorating set...LaSpina refuses to hog the limelight and turns in an exemplary team performance.
