Paolo Sapia - Mostly Music

The debut album from New York based saxophonist Paolo Sapia. 'Mostly Music' features the great Jimmy Cobb on drums, Philip Dizak on trumpet, Peter Zak on Rhodes and piano and John Webber on bass. They perform a mixture of original compositions by Sapia and interpretations of songs by David Bowie, Willard Robison, Anthony Newley and others.

Originally from Italy, Paulo started his professional career as jazz pianist. He changed his instrument to alto saxophone in 2004 and moved to New York City with a scholarship from New York University in 2005. Paolo has studied, performed and recorded in the USA with a broad range of musicians including Antonio hart, Mark Turner, Reggie Workman, Vincent Herring and Wayne Escoffery, among others.
