Vera Lynn - Yours - The MGM Years

Dame Vera Lynn who turns 100 in March 2017 made her first solo record in 1936 and Sepia celebrates the 80th anniversary of that with this release. It features many of her earlier hits that she re-recorded in glorious stereo for the MGM label in 1961, with lush arrangements by Brian Fahey and the superb Geoff Love Orchestra. The numbers featured on this recording have been overlooked for many years and many are appearing on CD for the first time. They are but a few of the many hundreds that we associate with the talented Vera, such as Yours, It Can't Be Wrong, I'll Be Seeing You, As Times Goes By, Autumn Concerto and more contemporary numbers like Theme From A Summer Place and Young At Heart.
