This album is a compilation of soprano star Helen Traubel singing standards from the Great American Songbook. Although opera singer Helen Traubel was best known for her Wagnerian roles at the Metropolitan, she also acted in Hollywood films, such as 1954's 'Deep in My Heart', starred in the Rodgers & Hammerstein Broadway musical 'Pipe Dream' and was one of the first opera stars to make crossover recordings from the Great American Songbook.
