Railroad Earth have gone from an impromptu pickin' party amongst friends to a full-fledged, touring band in less than 12 months. Spearheaded by Todd Shaeffer's vocals and lyrics, Railroad Earth has taken the newgrass scene by storm, building up a huge following in the US with constant touring and festival appearences. Bird In A House, their debut album incorporates some of the best songwriting, vocals and instrumental interplay to hit the scene in a long time. They have given the classic bluegrass formula a much needed shot in the arm.
