Mountain Heart - Wide Open

The members of Mountain Heart have spent nearly a decade together pushing relentlessly at the boundaries of bluegrass. For its third album for Skaggs Family Records, Mountain Heart has taken another creative leap forward by enlisting the services of Nashville superproducer Mark Bright. Better known for lofting multiplatinum country acts like Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans and Jo Dee Messina to the top of the charts, Bright helped Mountain Heart to create an album that both broadens the group's range and zeroes in more effectively than ever on the essence of its sound. In doing so, he has allowed them to make the album they've always dreamed of. This release will appeal to an already solid Bluegrass fanbase and will catch the ears of Americana fans as well.
