'Fanfare' brings together many of the different styles present in jazz into one sparkling album, and showcases each band member with specially written songs. Fanfare is jazz trumpeter/singer Sue Richardson's third CD, and represents an exciting new departure for her. The ideas behind Fanfare were to bring together many of the different styles present in jazz into one sparkling album, and to showcase each member of the band with a number written specially for them.The result is 14 original songs, which take the listener from samba to blues, swing to rock and New Orleans to modern jazz.' Fanfare' is an eclectic mix of instrumentals and vocal arrangements, with superb solos and sensitive interpretations. 2010 was an amazing year for Sue Richardson. She was a special guest at the Humphrey Lyttelton Memorial gig at the Hammersmith Apollo, playing with the Humph Band alongside Charlie Watts and Jools Holland; she sang and played live on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour; did a sold-out Jazz Service's Spring Tour and was interviewed on JazzFM.
