Original Australian Cast - The Sound of Music

The CD debut of the original 1961 Australian cast recording of 'The Sound of Music' led by June Bronhill. All tracks are digitally remastered and the album also features rare bonus tracks by June Bronhill and an array of top stars including Petula Clark, Edmund Hockridge, Dickie Valentine, Joan Regan and Ken Dodd.

'The Sound of Music' brings us the last of the magnificent scores from the pens of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammestein II. Celebrated opera singer June Bronhill leads the cast as Maria in this timeless musical. The Original Austrlian production opened in Melbourne in 1961, the cast recording from that production now makes its debut on CD.
