Sleep Room - Gone

Reading five-piece Sleep Room wrote a new batch of songs in a Berkshire farmhouse and gradually their debut album Gone emerged from the sessions.Formed from threads of influences including Radiohead, Joy Division, Vaccines, Sigur Ros, Mogwai and Pink Floyd that weave together to create these 11 enormous tracks, Cook's voice soars on the musical updrafts of Weston's spiraling guitar, creating eloquent and lush songs that pulse with the epic love-hate emotions of break ups and new beginnings. The name 'Sleep Room' was inspired by In the Sleep Room: The Story of CIA Brainwashing Experiments in Canada, a documentary by Anne Collins and Larry Cohen about The Ravenscrag in Canada, where the CIA experimented on GI's with LSD and other drugs.
