This album was made in 1972 after Ken Colyer had recently retired from full-time band leading. Released from the burdens of his role as bandleader Ken could relax and experience the joy of playing again with his former colleagues in Studio 51, a special venue for him as, at one time, it was known as Ken Colyer's Club.
