BERNADETTE LA HENGST and BANDA INTERNATIONALE are united by a vision of a cosmopolitan co-existence of mankind. Bringing together people from all over the world, the project aims to give a voice to the voiceless. Standing in a tradition with Bertolt Brecht it is an almost logical decision to bring some of that political activist and artist's more poignant political texts dealing with the drama of exile and the crimes committed by Germany during the Hitler era to new listeners here. A much-appreciated update indeed.
