With her band she combines influences from contemporary jazz and catchy world music. Although the lyrical triangle accordion, piano and bass clarinet usually produces the melody, basslines and drum sounds complement this with the attitude of other voices. The fresh repertoire leaves plenty of space despite this density. It seems to breathe and gently switches between light-hearted pulse, dramatic severity, sparkling single notes, or a warm, dark melancholy.
