Blind Uncle Gaspard, Delma Lachney & John Bertrand - Early American Cajun Music

The names Blind Uncle Gaspard and Delma Lachney are little known outside of their locale. Yet for those whose good fortune it has been to hear their music, this reissue project is long overdue. These recordings are the only examples known to exist from this locale prior to the 40s.These three artists represent an unusual byway of Cajun music that is softer and more introspective than most other styles.
