He has also collaborated with contemporary dance and theatre pieces with Pina Bausch, Robert Wilson, Philippe Decoufl�, as well as co-producing albums alongside Hal Willner, Vinicius Cantuaria and Arto Lindsay.With his ability to blend the most seemingly disparate elements of music, Miyake has achieved much respect throughout the world. His albums 'Stolen from Strangers', 'Lost Memory Theatre Act 1 + 2', have been selected as best album of the year by numerous European music magazines, and obtained the Grand Prix for the German Record Critics Award 2008, 2014 and 2015. He has been selected as Man of 2009 by Galerie Lafayette Homme. Wim Wenders' film Pina, for which Miyake contributed music, has been declared the best documentary film by the European film awards in 2011, and was nominated for the Academy Awards in 2012.
