Varttina - Utu

Finally a new album from Varttina! It's been six years since their last release, but since then the group haven't just been lying low.. Alongside an active touring period they participated in the creation of the music for Lord of the Rings The musical together with A. R. Rahman. Varttina then performed in the musical both in Toronto and London.When the new album was released in Finland in February 2012 it was extremely well received and became a straight number 12 in the charts there upon the week of it's release. Now here they are on British ground with an astonishing album fusioning Scandinavian folklore with a rock attitude.
